New stations at Mayotte
The island of Mayotte is the oldest island in the Comoros archipelago, located near the south-eastern coast of Africa. It is a French department and region, even if Mayotte’s culture is closer to that of the Comoros Islands. This archipelago is surrounded by a coral reef,.the world’s largest lagoon, tropical vegetation and lush nature that offers rare biodiversity.
As part of its development policy and environmental ethics, EXAGONE has extended the TERIA network on the island of Mayotte.
This first step in the territorial extension of the TERIA Network highlights EXAGONE’s interest in the overseas territories and local needs for geolocation by centimetric precision. First stations were installed in the town halls of M’Tsangamouji, northwest of Mayotte and Bandrélé, southeast of the island. Now, Mahorais can also benefit from the quality and precision of the TERIA Network to carry out their work in the fields of civil engineering, transport, internal security, risk prevention, asset management, land and territorial knowledge.
