WILEY PROJECT : the scientific study of sperm whale behaviour

TERIA has been supporting the protection and monitoring of endangered marine species for several years.

The WILEY project is a scientific research that helps to better understand the seasonal behaviour of certain species rarely seen on the sea surface due to their diving behaviour, such as sperm whales.

Through this research, it has been possible to study their behaviour in the Mascarene archipelago in the south-west of India by means of seasonal movement predictions as well as their spatio-temporal distribution.

The WILEY project was funded by TERIA.
