Come aboard, shipmates !
TERIA, a loyal sponsor of this event, was delighted to welcome the Surveyors and ESGT students to this exceptional regatta.
3 days of sailing in company of our top sailors and newcomers in a sporty and friendly atmosphere !
The 2 boats competed in the JOD 25 category against 3 other competitors.
Summary of the 3 days
- 1st day : A beautiful sunny and windy day, where the students and their skippers Daniel and Philippe delivered a great performance, coming second in the rankings, closely followed by the Surveyors and their skippers Stéphanie and Raphaël in third place.
- 2nd day : The wind didn’t blow and the wait was long, plus a huge downpour that dissuaded some boats who preferred to return to the harbor. But not for our pugnacious crews ! The surveyors made an excellent start, while the students fell behind due to a broken sail. Temporary result of this second race: the Surveyors took the second place and the students the fourth.
- Last day : It’s not over yet. Both crews were on their toes ! The Surveyors managed to overtake the Toulon University boat, which had been leading the race until then, before being overtaken again. As for the students, they were able to catch up, earning their place on the podium !
A lovely interlude !
This year, TERIA continued its sponsorship with sailing athlete Aude COMPAN and her new partner Mathilde LOVADINA, both preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the 49er FX category.
We had the pleasure of seeing them in Marseille for a training session, an opportunity for a photo shoot on the water and a pleasant break with skippers and ESGT students.
We’re delighted to support these two young athletes competing under the TERIA colors, and hope to see them at the 2024 Olympics.
2 podium places !
At the end of the 3 days of regatta, the Surveyors finished 2nd in the ranking, followed by the ESGT students in 3rd place. Congratulations for these two fine performances !
Once again, we’d like to congratulate all the participants: students, surveyors and skippers, who gave us some great sailing moments during this great sporting event.
