An all-female duo for the French sailing team
Since 2019, TERIA has been proud to support Titouan PETARD, a promising talent in the world of sailing. This young athlete, who stands out for his commitment and dedication, has, in just a few years, established himself as one of the rising stars of his sport. Despite his young age, Titouan already boasts a remarkable track record, testifying to his immense potential and his determination to excel in every competition. TERIA is committed to supporting his exceptional sporting career and contributing to his development, with the hope of seeing him achieve even greater success in the future.
Julie BOSSARD,
quality engineer and top-level athlete
Originally from Brest, Julie grew up with sea spray and waves as her horizon. At the age of 12, she developed a passion for sailing and began competing in the Optimist, a small dinghy ideal for young sailors. After four years of intensive training, she chose to follow a sports-study programme at high school to reconcile her passion with her studies. It was in the 470, a double-handed dinghy, that she took her first steps into top-level competition, before discovering match racing, a demanding discipline that captivated her.
In 2013, Olympic sailing saw the emergence of a new category: the 49er FX. Julie seized the opportunity and fell under the spell of this fast, technical boat. Her commitment is total, but she also has to juggle her professional career. Since 2011, Julie has held the position of Supplier Quality Engineer at Scalian Equert. To continue sailing at the highest level, she has adopted a meticulous timetable, successfully reconciling her training, racing and professional responsibilities.
In 2017, a new challenge awaited her: she joined forces with Aude Compan to set her sights on the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Together, they form a determined duo, ready to face the winds and tides to make their Olympic dream come true.
Aude COMPAN,
process Engineering student and top-level sportswoman
Since the age of 8, Aude has been passionate about sailing, a sport she discovered at an early age. Like her friend Julie, she took her first steps on an ‘optimist’, but soon felt the call to sail more collectively, preferring to work as a duo. She then took up the SL15.5 (catamaran), which she sailed enthusiastically for 2 years, before moving on to the 420, where she honed her skills for a further 4 years.
In 2011, Aude joined INSA Toulouse in Process Engineering and, from her 4th year, she juggled her demanding studies with a booming sporting career. Her timetable is specially adapted to reconcile her courses, intensive training and numerous competitions.
In 2013, Aude reached an impressive level and was recognised as a top-level athlete in the Olympic series. She decided to specialise in 49erFX, a demanding discipline in which she teamed up with Sarah Steyaert. Together, they shone at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, taking a magnificent 6th place.
But Aude doesn’t stop there! Always determined to push back her limits, she is preparing for a new challenge: the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, this time alongside Julie Bossard. A new Olympic adventure full of promise and challenge for this talented sailor!

What is a 49erFX?
The 49erFX is an Olympic women’s double that is entering its 2nd Olympiad for the Tokyo Games. Fast and unstable, this boat is a skiff-type dinghy designed on the basis of the 49er in order to adapt it to the weight of women’s crews. This single-hulled boat has a very thin bow and wings on each side to increase the leverage.
