The “Cercle Géo” of ESGT with TERIA

TERIA, a partner for students

Thursday 13 October marked the 18th Cercle Géo at the ESGT. This annual meeting brings together surveying professionals and students from all over France, including ESGT, ESTP, INSA Strasbourg and ENSG. This year’s theme was 3D imaging.

The schedule includes conferences, company meetings and an ‘internship dating’ event to enable professionals and students to discuss internship or TFE (Project completion) opportunities.

For this year’s event, TERIA presented its commitment as a “société à mission and its support for students and trainee surveyors.

TERIA’S SPEECH CLOSELY FOLLOWED

The morning was dedicated to conferences, with each partner giving a 12-minute presentation.

TERIA opted to avoid the technical side of the subject and focus its presentation on the long-term relationship with students and the support it provides them.

A strong approach that is fully in line with TERIA’s commitments as a “société à mission”.

Farès MAHI, Communications & Marketing Manager at TERIA, was pleased to present the various initiatives undertaken with students to support them throughout their studies.

This includes taking part in scientific events such as the Arcouzan Glacier measurement, and sporting events such as the JURIS’CUP sailing competition and the EDHEC Boat Race.

TERIA is committed to being present and to support these various events.

François Le COZ, a graduate of ESGT, a trainee surveyor and also the director of a network detection company, also took part in the event.

François described his educational and professional career, his relationship with TERIA and the way the company helped him launch his business.

The presentation attracted considerable interest from the students, who were keen to continue their discussions at the end of the conference.

WHEN THE COMPANY WITH A MISSION GENERATES CURIOSITY AMONG STUDENTS AND BECOMES A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION

The afternoon was dedicated to a more in-depth presentation of TERIA ‘s technological, societal and environmental commitments and the actions put in place to meet the obligations required by its status as a company with a mission .

Hosted by Farès MAHI, this presentation was an instructive opportunity for the students, who were won over by this innovative approach, to discuss the subject at greater length.

The students present at the Cercle Géo are at a pivotal stage in their careers, where the choices they make will determine their future professional lives. Many of them want to commit to a future that is concerned with social and environmental well-being.
Joining a company with a responsible approach or being part of a company with a mission is a strong and meaningful step in this direction.

TERIA’s management has been guided by these values from the outset. TERIA’s track record proves that it is possible to combine strong employee commitment, economic performance and participation in sustainable development.

The company’s history and that of its team members inspired the students present at the workshop. Numerous questions and lengthy discussions enabled them to project themselves into the future with a vision of the profession.

At the same time, Alexia TRAN, Communications & Marketing Manager at TERIA, had the pleasure of welcoming a number of students to the “internship dating” event.

The interviews took place in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The first part of the interview was devoted to a generic presentation of TERIA. The second part focused on the profile required for a 6-month internship in GNSS data qualification.

It’s always nice to have TERIA as a loyal partner for these events, which are very important to us here at the ESGT. The special relationship we have with our regular speakers (Alexia, Farès and Mr DI RENZO) is an important one, and one that we intend to continue.
